AI tokens

The AI features across all Noxdragon Academic apps draw from the same token balance included in your plan. There's no separate balance per app: EON, Theca, Imagine, and SimuLab share the same pool.

What features consume tokens

These are the features that use your AI balance:

  • EON: generating cards with AI from a topic.
  • Theca: generating summaries, searching with a natural-language answer, and extracting a book's table of contents with AI.
  • Theca → EON: generating study cards from a Theca summary.
  • Theca → SimuLab: generating problem sets from a Theca summary.
  • Imagine: creating diagrams with AI assistance.
  • EON: extracting diagram boxes with AI from an image.
  • SimuLab: generating practice problems with AI.

Browsing, searching by exact word, reading your books, or reviewing cards does not consume tokens.

Where to see your usage

Open the Account app and go to the Usage or AI models section. There you can see how many tokens you've used in the last 5 hours and in the last 7 days, along with the date each window renews.

What happens when the balance runs out

When you reach the limit, AI features are temporarily unavailable. All other app features continue to work normally. The balance renews automatically on the date shown in the usage screen.

A note on AI results

AI-generated content — cards, summaries, problems, diagrams — can contain errors. Always cross-check against your original sources before studying or sharing them, especially for health-related topics where a mistake can have real consequences. AI is a helpful tool, not a source of truth.

You can choose which AI model you prefer for general features and which one for SimuLab from the AI models section of the Account app. This option is available on paid plans.

Frequently asked questions

Is the token balance shared across all four apps? Yes. If you use AI in Theca to generate a summary and then in EON to create cards, both consume from the same balance.

Can I see which app used the most? The Usage screen in the Account app shows consumption by time window. Detailed per-app breakdown depends on your plan.

What happens to SimuLab problems if the balance runs out while they're being generated? Generation stops. Problems already generated are available; any that weren't processed yet can be resumed when the balance renews.
