You can enrich your presentations with images placed directly on the canvas. Imagine accepts images from several sources and lets you reposition and resize them freely.

Inserting an image

There are three ways to add an image:

  1. Image tool: select Image in the toolbar (shortcut: I) and click on the canvas. A file picker opens so you can choose an image from your device.
  2. Drag and drop: drag an image file from your file browser directly onto the canvas. The indicator Drop image here appears while dragging.
  3. Paste from clipboard: copy an image in any app and paste it on the canvas with Ctrl+V.

Resizing and moving images

After inserting an image, use the Select tool to:

  • Move: drag the image anywhere on the canvas.
  • Resize: drag the handles that appear on the edges when you select it.

You can select an image together with other elements to move them all at once.

Image storage

Images you insert are stored inside the presentation. The status bar at the bottom of the editor shows how much space they occupy in the current file. The total space available for images depends on your plan; if you reach the limit, the app notifies you before you can exceed it.

Choose images at the right size for what you need to show. Very large images take up more file space and can slow down export and sync.

Frequently asked questions

What image formats does Imagine accept? It accepts standard browser image formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, among others). If the file is not recognized, the app shows the message The image could not be loaded. Try another file.

Can I insert images from a web URL? Not directly. Copy the image to your clipboard from your browser and then paste it on the canvas with Ctrl+V.

Are images included when exporting the presentation? Yes. When exporting to PNG, PDF, or video, images are part of the result. When exporting the .imgin file, images are also embedded inside it.

Is there a file size limit per image? Yes, there is a per-file limit. If an image exceeds that size, the app notifies you at the moment of insertion.
