Knowing each part of the screen saves time and lets you move smoothly between drawing, editing, and presenting.
Home screen
When you open Imagine you see the Presentations screen. All your presentations appear as cards here. From this screen you can:
- Click New presentation to create a blank canvas.
- Click Import to load an
.imginfile. - Search and sort your presentations with the search bar and the Sort by selector.
- Ctrl+Click on cards to select multiple presentations and delete them in bulk.
The canvas
When you open a presentation you enter the editor. The canvas is the infinite workspace where you draw and build your content. You can:
- Pan around by dragging with the Hand tool or by holding the space bar.
- Zoom with the mouse wheel or with the zoom controls in the status bar.
- Fit the view to your content with Zoom to Fit (right-click on the canvas).
The toolbar
The toolbar sits along one side of the screen. It contains the main tools:
- Select — select, move, and resize elements.
- Hand — pan the canvas without selecting anything.
- Pen — draw freehand strokes.
- Eraser — erase strokes or portions of them.
- Paint bucket — fill closed shapes with a color.

The toolbar also contains Undo and Redo buttons, the Play button to start the presentation (F5), and the Export button.
The properties panel
When you select an element, the Properties panel appears with the options for that element: stroke color, stroke width, font, size, shape, and more. If you select multiple elements at once, the panel shows the common properties you can edit in bulk.
The step sequence
The Sequence panel shows the steps of your presentation. Each step is a moment in the story. From here you can:
- Add a camera bookmark (K) to save the current camera position as the arrival point of a step.
- Use Auto-build to let Imagine build the sequence automatically from the element order.
- Open the Sequence editor to reorder, merge, or split steps.
The mini-map
The Mini-map shows an overview of the canvas with a box indicating the visible area. Drag it to navigate quickly to any part of the canvas.
The status bar
At the bottom of the editor, the status bar shows the current zoom level, camera coordinates, and performance warnings if the presentation has many elements.
The save indicator in the bottom-right corner shows the sync status: Saving..., Saved, Pending changes, or Offline.
