Collections
Updated on July 31, 2026
Collections are folders for your problems. They can nest, so you can put a subject inside another as deep as you need. The tree lives on the left, with My problems at the root.
Creating and organising
Right-click a collection for everything you can do there: New problem here, Generate problem with AI here, New folder, rename and delete. When you delete, it tells you how many folders and how many problems will go, before you confirm.
Problems are listed in a table you can search and filter by difficulty, status and order. You can select several with the checkboxes to move them to another collection or delete them in one go.
Generating a whole collection
Generate collection here creates a batch at once: you pick the topic, how many problems you want and which sources to use. SimuLab first designs the structure and then generates them one by one; you'll see the progress as it works. If one fails, it still finishes and tells you how many came out.
Pulling problems out of a book
Extract from book goes through a book in your Theca looking for exercises and saves them as problems. You'll see which page it's on. If your AI quota runs out, the extraction pauses instead of being lost, and you can resume it later.
Taking them with you
Export .smlb downloads the whole collection with all its problems as a file. From the toolbar you can Import that same file, by dragging it in, into any other account.
