Plans and limits in SimuLab
Updated on August 5, 2026
SimuLab is part of NoxDragon Academic. The plan you have in Academic applies to all apps: EON, Theca, Imagine and SimuLab share the same account and the same plan.
Problem limits
Each plan sets a maximum number of problems you can have in your library. The app notifies you as you approach the limit. If you reach it, you can delete problems you no longer need or review your plan options.
AI usage
Generating a problem with AI, requesting an automatically generated collection or asking for Hints consumes AI quota. This quota is shared across all Academic apps: the same pool of AI usage covers SimuLab, EON, Theca and Imagine.
When the quota runs out, the app shows you a message. You can wait for it to renew according to your plan's cycle or review the available options.
The AI may show a warning when it could not verify a piece of data in the problem. That warning does not consume extra quota — it only reports a limitation in that specific result.
Features that consume AI quota
- Generating a problem in With AI mode.
- Generating a full collection with Generate collection.
- Extracting problems from books with Extract from book.
- Requesting Hints for a problem that does not have them yet.
Creating or editing problems in Manual mode does not consume AI quota.
What happens when you downgrade
If you switch to a plan with smaller limits, your existing problems are not deleted, but they may be locked until you are within the new plan's limits. The app will make this clear if it happens.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use SimuLab without paying? Yes. There is a free tier with a limited number of problems and AI usage. Details are on the Academic plans and limits page.
Is the AI quota shared with EON or Theca? Yes. The AI quota is unified across your entire Academic account and is deducted regardless of which app uses it.
How do I know how much AI quota I have left? The app shows you a message when it runs out. You can also check your account status in the plans section.
