Generate practice problems for SimuLab
Updated on August 5, 2026
From a completed Theca summary you can create a set of practice problems in SimuLab. The AI uses the content of the summary as its source, so each exercise reflects exactly what you studied.
Where to find the button
Open a completed summary at theca.noxdragon.com and look for Generate problems in the top bar. The button appears only when the summary is marked Completed — if sections are still pending, use Process remaining on the summary first.
What the form offers
Clicking the button opens the Generate problems dialog with these fields:
- Name — the name the problem set will have in SimuLab.
- Optional details — choose the Language for the problem statements.
Confirm with the Generate problems button. Generation runs in the background so you can keep reading or working on other summaries while you wait.
Tracking progress
While the problems are being created, the top bar shows how many have been processed so far. If the job is interrupted, a Process remaining button appears alongside a message explaining why it stopped. Click it to resume from where it left off without losing the problems already created.
Where the problems appear in SimuLab
When the job completes, a green notice with a View in SimulaLab link appears. Opening it takes you straight to the newly created problem set at simulab.noxdragon.com, where you can solve, organize, and share the problems.
This feature uses AI quota from your plan. If the quota runs out mid-generation, the problems produced so far are saved and you can continue with Process remaining once your quota refreshes.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't the "Generate problems" button showing? The button appears only when the summary is fully processed. If nodes are still pending, complete the summary with Process remaining first.
How many problems are created? The number depends on the length and depth of the summary. You can watch the count grow in real time during generation.
What if the generation stops halfway through? The problems already created are kept. When Process remaining appears, use it to finish the pending work.
Can I generate problems from a summary that combines several books? Yes. The AI draws from the full content of the summary regardless of how many source books it includes.
